Bad Breath? 2 Natural Solutions!
Bad breath can be caused by bacteria from decaying food particles or debris in the mouth or can occur as the result of poor oral hygiene. In addition to regular daily flossing and brushing, consider the following to freshen your breath naturally:
- Eating hydrating foods. Oranges and organic celery – along with other water-rich produce – can help prevent dry mouth, which can contribute to halitosis. Also be sure to drink water throughout the day to maintain good hydration.
- Trying natural mouth fresheners. Chew on parsley after meals, sip on peppermint tea or fresh peppermint leaves, or chew (but don’t swallow) cardamom seeds. There are a number of probiotic-containing toothpastes now that are worth considering for oral and breath health as well. Also, chewing gums that contain xylitol have been shown to reduce the risk of cavities and may support fresher breath as well.
