Prevent Overheating During Exercise
Hyperthermia, or overheating of the body, can lead to heat stroke, a potentially deadly condition that can occur when the body reaches a high core temperature, usually 104 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. Outdoor exercise during the hot summer months around my Tuscon, Arizona home only happens very early in the mornings, just as the sun rises. Prevention is important when it comes to getting overheated, but some small steps can help you keep your body temperature where it should be. Please be aware of overheating in pets as well.
